Upon entering the magnificent restaurant, you can see breathtaking views of the Simonside Hills and Coquet Valley directly outside. Perfectly situated to admire the view, the large windows flood light through the dining room where you can watch the stunning scenery from your table.
You can eat in style and elegance in our restaurant with its traditional and extensive menu, or in the superbly furnished lounge bar. Steaks, fish, seafood and game are all on the menu, complimented by an excellent wine cellar.
Great emphasis on the quality of food throughout the Coquet Valley and Northumbrian produce is demonstrated in the traditional style cuisine. Most of the produce used in the restaurant is grown locally. Our meat is supplied by local farms or Aberdeen Angus, who are situated only a couple of miles away, guaranteeing freshness and traceability. Our salmon, caught in the River Coquet is also available. We have some of the best chef’s in Northumberland cooking the excellent cuisine demonstrating the wide range of local ingredients and produce that Northumberland has to offer.
All our meals are cooked to order from the wide and varied menu. Our chef is always happy to meet with any dietary needs including vegetarian and vegan. Bar meals are also available in the evenings in our lounge bars. When the weather is fine, why not have a drink or a meal in the large beer garden? We have a large children’s play area outside or seated areas to enjoy your drink and the Northumbrian view.
Large parties and groups can also be catered for and a separate individual function room can be hired. This room is ideal for special occasions such as weddings, christenings, birthdays or for business meetings. Close to Rothbury and Morpeth and only 33 miles from Newcastle, the Three Wheat Heads is ideally situated to hold your function or party.
